Steppingley is a picturesque Bedfordshire village on the Greensand ridge, close to Ampthill, Flitwick and Woburn.

We’re very proud of our beautiful village, complete with its hall, church, cricket green, playground and rolling countryside.

It’s also home to the French Horn pub & restaurant and the Drovers Arms Indian restaurant.

We look forward to seeing you in the village one day soon.

Steppingley Village Hall

In accordance with Government instructions on 23rd March the playground area is closed until further notice.

As a response to the coronavirus pandemic and to ensure the welfare of our residents, we would ask you to please abide with our request and not use the playground for the foreseeable future.

We apologise for any inconvenience this will cause.

Steppingley Recreation Ground to remain open

We have taken advice from the National Governing Body for cricket on maintaining grounds and they have advised that as long as this can be done with social distancing in place (2m rule) and that sensible precautions are taken then it is OK for any grounds work to continue.

The Parish council have therefore asked the Cricket Club to continue to cut the grass in order to allow villagers to get out for exercise and to walk their dogs on the green.

We will continue to monitor the guidelines should they change, as obviously we do not want to put ourselves or others at unnecessary risk.
